Congratulations to the 2011 award winners!

Dr. Michael Powell, SAVT Veterinarian of the Year Award "Always Willing to teach techs new things, treats his techs like people and does not talk down to them or take advantages of them..... Always happy, positive work environment. I have never worked with a better individual in my entire life."	.
Arlee Deschene, SVMA Technologist of the Year Award "Not many Technologists choose to remain in the veterinary profession beyond a decade or two. Arlee has exceeded 25 years and remains a dedicated proferssional who deserves to be recognized for her contribution"	.
Bob TAIT, SAVT Appreciation Award "We would like to thank Bob for his years of service to not only the SAVT but for the education to technicians on the idea of helping a family through the grieving process that comes with the loss of a beloved pet."
Georgina Knudesen/Michael Santer (Radisson Hotel) Conference Appreciation Award "In 2004, on our 20th anniversary, a newly formed conference committee of the SAVT first made its move to the Radisson Hotel. Georgina and Michael have always gone above and beyond the call of duty, they still do that today!"

Nominations for 2012 Candidates must be received by August 1, 2012.

The award will be presented at the November AGM and Conference Banquet program.

Nominees will be contacted and informed of their nomination, and are invited to attend the banquet and Awards ceremony at their own cost.

The winner will receive a complimentary banquet ticket to attend the Awards ceremony.

APPRECIATION AWARD:

The Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists has an award available – to acknowledge support, recognition and ongoing development of the awareness of our association.

Please provide the name or names of individuals, and/or corporations who you feel have provided such service to the Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists. These can include executive members, pharmaceutical representatives, etc.

The award will be presented at the November AGM and Conference Banquet program.

Nominees will be contacted and informed of their nomination.

Please write an outline of why you believe the person you have recommended is deserving of this award, as well as all contact information for both parties.

VETERINARIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD:

The Saskatchewan Association of Veterinary Technologists invites you to nominate a Veterinarian who has been a great supporter of VT’s in their workplace.

The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:

Be an active member of the SVMA
Be active in the field of Animal Health
Shows support for Veterinary Technologists nd/or helps promote the field of Veterinary Technology

The award will be presented at the November AGM and Conference Banquet program.

Nominees will be contacted and informed of their nomination.

SVMA TECHNOLOGIST OF THE YEAR:

Acknowledge the contributions of an outstanding Veterinary Technologist.. The award winner is chosen by the SVMA.

an active member of the SAVT
active in the field of Animal Health
made an outstanding contribution to their profession through their performance and dedication.
must not be a current executive member of the SAVT
