Submit a CE Event for Approval

Click here if you are an individual or organization that would like to submit your event for CE Event Credit Approval

CE Approval will be automatically given (you do not have to submit form) by SAVT to the following:

  • CE that is SVMA approved
  • CE that is RACE approved
  • CE that is approved by a CVMA accredited school

Please forward us information on your CE event, as we would be happy to share with our members.

  • If your event is approved by another Veterianary Medical or Veterinary Technician/Technologist Association, please mention that on the application form.

Additional CE approval guidelines for organizations wishing to provide SAVT approved CE:

  • consists of educational activities that serve to maintain, develop or increase the knowledge, skills and professional performance and relationships that veterinary medical professionals (including veterinarians and veterinary technicians/technologists) use to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.
  • includes subject matter that helps make veterinary medical professionals more competent and capable in serving the public interest in the delivery of veterinary services but which is not necessarily scientific or clinical in nature. It can include but may not be limited to: business management, regulatory compliance, jurisprudence, skills based training in instrumentation, medical records, software management, member wellness, the art of veterinary practice and communication and veterinary ethics. 
  • includes topics in veterinary science that are not specifically clinical in nature but consider the comprehensive range of the practice of veterinary medicine. This embraces but is not limited to topics related to “One Health” and public veterinary practice, epidemiology, food safety, public health, animal welfare, antimicrobial stewardship “in-service” training for publically employed veterinary medical professionals etc. Based on scientific principles, there must be an established “probability” of success that conforms to the medically accepted and scientifically supported standards of experimental design, data collection and analysis.  
  • Presenters
    • The presenter must be knowledgeable in the subject matter at a level equal or higher than the intended audience.
