Mind the Gap - Psychological Health & Safety Registration


The ABVTA and SAVT are presenting a series focused on psychological health and safety standards in veterinary medicine.  This series of 8, one-hour, interactive webinars will focus on how you and your veterinary clinic can work to improve the 13 factors for psychological health and safety as set out by the Canadian Mental Health Association. 

This series is being presented by Dr. Kathy Keil and Coral Doherty, RVT. Completion of all eight webinars in this series will be eligible for CE credits with both associations.

This series is geared towards clinic owners, practice managers, HR leads, clinic leads of Occupational Health and Safety Teams, employees at all levels who are interested in psychological health and safety, and board members of VMA and members of PIPS committees.  

RVTs and Support Staff in Saskatchewan and Alberta can register at no cost for this series. Other costs associated with this series are outlined below: 
- Clinics (up to 6 registrants): $100+GST for all 8 webinars
- DVMs from all VMAs: $20+GST for all 8 webinars 
- RVTs and Support Staff outside of Alberta & Saskatchewan: $20+GST for all 8 webinars

Time for each session is 7:00pmMST and 8:00pm Sask Time

Week 3: January 28, 2021 - The state of where vet medicine is without having implemented PH&S standards and policies.  Benchmarks
Week 4: February 4, 2021 - Psychological health and safety toolkit
Week 5: February 11, 2021 - Business alignment to psychological health and safety development/change consequences
Week 6: February 18, 2021 - Culture will always eat strategy for breakfast!  Change takes a village, with a listening leader
Week 7: February 25, 2021 - Facilitated discussion of the psychological factors
Week 8: March 4, 2021 - 20 questions to ask leaders
