Zoetis Diagnostic Application Specialist

Alannah Coombs RVT will be moving to Ontario to take the new Toronto & Western Ontario Zoetis Diagnostic Application Specialist position and as such the following position is now available:

The successful candidate will provide technical training and product support for the Zoetis Diagnostics portfolio within Veterinary Hospitals. The primary responsibility is to support Veterinary Hospitals with all aspects of implementation, training, operation and problem resolution for all Zoetis Diagnostic products. This position functions within a Zoetis team environment consisting of a Diagnostic Sales Specialist, a Pharma Territory Specialist and Veterinary Professional Services support.

The position is located in and services Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Northern Ontario.


  • Provide onsite diagnostic product technical support to Veterinary Hospitals
  • Provide Veterinary Hospitals with guidance, instruction, and training on the Zoetis Diagnostics product line through formal and informal training presentations
  • Provide post sale product installation and training
  • Ensure superb customer service and be able to work independently
  • Understand general Veterinary Hospital operations including, but not limited to, laboratory and clinical procedures, practice administration, staff training and workflow
  • Collaborate with Zoetis colleagues to provide outstanding customer service within a team environment
  • This position provides the foundational skills for career advancement within the commercial organization


  • Post-secondary qualification in Veterinary technology, Biological sciences or Business
  • Ability to interpret scientific and medical information
  • Effective writing, public speaking and communications skills
  • Demonstrated business skills
  • Strong leadership and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Excellent judgement in conflict management and influence
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Bilingual (French and English) an asset
  • Ability to travel - 60%
