Registered Veterinary Technician

South Country Veterinary PC Inc looking for a full-time RVT to join our mixed-practice veterinary care team. Our clinic is located in Assiniboia, SK and we have a satellite clinic in Rockglen, SK. We currently staff three DVMs, one full-time RVT, three part-time RVTs and three office staff. Our facilities are equipped with in-house laboratory and pharmacy. As well as; surgical laser, therapeutic laser, CR digital X-Ray system, dental x-rays, dental table & cart, portable x-ray and more. Both clinics have barns allowing us to offer large animal services. We also offer ambulatory service. Services offered include mixed animal routine preventive care, internal medicine, surgery, equine and small animal dentistry, radiology, and more.

We recognize the full skill set of an RVT, and feel it is important to allow as many of those skills to be utilized as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for anesthesia induction and surgical monitoring, patient care, technician-related appointments, venipuncture, some lab analysis, and more. Shared duties will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, inventory management, client education in person and over the phone, cleaning of the clinic and some other reception related tasks.

We are looking for a compassionate RVT with exceptional communication skills, established technical skills, a hunger to learn, and the ability to go-with-the flow.
