Description

Each year, hundreds of animals in Regina find themselves homeless, abused or unwanted.  They have no one to heal them.  No one to help them.

The Regina Humane Society, our community’s trusted voice for animal welfare, cares for over 3,500 of these companion animals and performs over 2,300 sterilization surgeries for shelter and community pets, annually.  As our new Registered Veterinary Technologist, you will be responsible for patient care, surgical preparation and monitoring, lab work, assisting with examinations and administering a variety of treatments for sick and injured animals. You will also have the chance to work in our new Animal Community Centre, currently under construction, which will be one of the finest and most modern facilities of its kind in Canada.

More importantly, you will be one of our dedicated team of humans who ensures that animals in need are not forgotten.

Currently licensed Veterinary Technologists and those eligible for registration in Saskatchewan are urged to apply for this exciting and rewarding opportunity. Veterinary technology students in their final term of studies at a recognized college are welcome to apply. We offer competitive compensation, regular hours, a robust benefits package, licensing dues, continuing education, above-average vacation, and earned days off.

Please apply in writing to Dr. Katherine Ball, Director of Veterinary Care (kball@reginahumane.ca), and be sure to include a current resume.
