Description

Looking for a registered veterinary technician and/or summer student to fill a full time position (part time would be considered too) starting as soon as possible.  Pay would be dependent on skills and experiences and well above those offered in the area ($23-26/hr most likely).   Must be available for a variety of shifts and must have your own (reliable) vehicle and be willing to travel.  We are a mobile small animal clinic centered around Brandon, MB but sometimes we start from Shilo/Wawanesa area.  A good driving record is important as at times I will have the technician drive while I do paperwork.   Must be punctual and able to follow direction/instructions/multitask and be efficient and reliable!  Low stress handling or fear free certification/training would be a huge asset.   Good anesthesia monitoring skills and catheterization skills are also highly valued!  We have digital x-ray, surgery suite (do routine surgeries on cats/dogs under 20kgs), and blood machines.  Must be able to help carry/lift large dogs as we do a lot of in home euthanasias.   Due to travel etc sometimes overtime is required but it isn’t excessive.   Occasional help on weekends/evenings with after hours calls would be helpful but doesn’t occur often.  We have wonderful clients who are very kind and thankful. We have a receptionist that works in clinic part time and at home part time.  She is very fun and pleasant to work with.  When she is off you would also be required to fill in for her.  Good communication skills, pleasant and kind personality would be a big asset!   I aim to provide and highly value a happy and positive work place!  Supplies/services for up to 3 pets offered at cost.  Benefits are offered too through Chamber of Commerce.  For technicians a $400 bonus will be paid after one year if you are reliable, punctual and have above average job performance.  New gradsstudents also welcome to apply and further training can be provided.  References required.  Apply by email, attention Carol, to mobilevet@outlook.com. Carol at 204 573-7266 can answer most questions about the position as well.
